Muir Woods in California

I spent a partial day of Memorial Weekend 2010 in Muir Woods National Monument. This is not my first time visiting a redwood forest, but seeing the magnificence of these trees is a experience not to be missed.
We drove into Mill Valley and stopped at a free parking lot to catch the Route 66 Muir Woods Shuttle. It costs a mere $3 per person for a round trip bus ride. Day Trip to Boreal 2010

It is early-March already, and most of the snow season has passed me by. Living in Northern California, I still have no had a chance to drive up to the Tahoe area. There was a small storm on Friday (Feb 26, 2010), and we had a free Sunday, so I headed up to the Tahoe on Sunday (Feb 27). Boreal’s website reported 2 inches of fresh snow.
